The Record of John

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple—But—who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire—And He shall sit as a refiner—and he shall purify the sons of Levi—that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness.

14 Follow—holiness, without which no man shall [stand to] see the Lord.

2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined—5 And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not—light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light—21 But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

3 And the Sons of the Prophets that were at Bethel—5 And the Sons of the Prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha—7 And fifty men of the Sons of the Prophets went, and stood to view afar off— 38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the Sons of the Prophets were sitting before him: and he said to his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the Sons of the Prophets— 1 And the Sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “Behold now, the place where we dwell with you is too narrow for us.”

(13 Was it not told my lord what I did when Jezebel slew the prophets of the LORD, how I hid an hundred men of the LORD'S prophets by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water?— 38 –they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.)

1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness—4 You shall no more be termed Forsaken—but you shall be called—Beulah: for the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married. 5 For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you: and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over you—13 But now in Christ Jesus you who—were far off are made near—14 For He is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us— 15 for to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace; 16 And that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby—2 The LORD is building up Jerusalem: He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
