EMBRACING UNCERTAINTY IN THE LORD:
The Key to Spiritual Flight and End Time Deliverance
Like
most believers, I loathe uncertainty
in life. My heart gravitates toward order, predictability and establishment.
With this is an inbred tendency to fear and resist uncertainty. In
contemplating an enterprise, I want to plan out as much as possible beforehand,
leaving as little to chance as possible. I want to minimize my unknowable risks
in life as much as I can. And there is a natural wisdom in this.
But
risk and unknowability are also a part of life’s wisdom and plan. Obviously, it
isn’t possible to totally eliminate the unexpected. And for believers,
following the Lord brings us to face with uncertainty in a way the world does
not face. Encountering uncertainty in the course of obeying the Spirit is an
inescapable reality in the life of faith.
Nevertheless,
while accepting this “uncertainty factor” as a fact of spiritual life, my heart
has always continued to handle it by resistance: by inwardly recoiling and
turning away from it. I have always looked to the Lord in faith for my
direction and obeyed, no matter what the unknowable risks. But I have also used
my looking to Him to try to protect me from the subconscious awareness of
uncertainty beneath my faith.
Lately
however, the Lord has begun dealing with me about this. My continued looking to
the Lord in faith while resisting the uncertainty attending that faith has put
a hidden stress on my heart that over time has become unbearable. By exposing
my inner dissonance between embracing faith and resisting uncertainty, the Lord
has begun changing my heart regarding uncertainty itself. In the process, He
has revealed major truths to me in an end time context to share with you. For I
believe I am not alone in bearing this tension, but that many of us bear
it—especially as we contemplate the uncertain times ahead, the signs of
impending tribulation ahead, and what our costs may be in remaining faithful to
the Lord against an increasingly hostile society.
The Quest for Security:
Cause and Catalyst of the Great Tribulation
The
prophetic utterances of Paul and Jesus are very clear about the cause of the
coming worldwide tribulation. They tell us that the quest for human security
(the elimination of all risk, uncertainty and liability) will be its cause, and
that this quest will catalyze the tribulation in such a way that it arrives as
a trap suddenly snapping shut:
I Th. 5:3 For when they say, "Peace and
safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a
pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.— Lk. 21: 35 For
it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.
The word translated here as “safety” (asphaleia) is also defined
as certainty and security (as in “social security” or “homeland security”).
A synonym for this word (bebaiosis) means confirmation
or making sure—relatable to the
Hebrew Old Testament concept of contract “surety” through the striking of hands
(what we today call “insurance”).
In other words, Paul is saying that when the world becomes
motivated by the demand for total human security and insurance from all risk,
it will catalyze a tribulation of worldwide tyranny that will fall suddenly on
the earth. The Lord calls this tribulation a “snare” (ie, a trap). The concept
of snare is important because it
identifies the quest for absolute security as a front for a hidden agenda
(i.e., a conspiracy toward world slavery which lies behind the enticement to
world security).
If you are astute, then you can recognize that I am putting into
words something you already know to be true, but perhaps could not define about
world political developments. Today all domestic legislative policy in the West
is driven toward one purpose—the reduction and elimination of all risk,
uncertainty and liability. It does not matter what political party is
campaigning, the promises are the same. Only the approaches to achieving the
ends differ.
Every demagogue is consumed with appeasing the public with
promises of financial security, social security, homeland security and
universal health insurance. This drive, which began in earnest in the 1930’s
has become so massive that the legal and insurance professions are now
virtually indistinguishable and form the essence of western government.
Importantly, with each legislation of increased security comes an
incremental decrease in personal liberty,
whether it be the requirement to wear seat belts, to carry an insurance card to
get a job or drive a car, or the simple inability to carry a pair of nail
clippers onto an airplane. The final price of total security is open slavery
under tyranny.
But the West is oblivious to this. That’s because at the same
time, the West has been deceived into redefining liberty as security.
Therefore it still believes it is
free, seeing every security measure as a “protection of liberty,” even though
personal liberty is evaporating before everyone’s eyes. The West has been
graduating toward security-based tyranny masked as liberty for several
generations now, and it is only a matter of time before the trap of overt
tyranny is sprung in earnest, revealing the Great Tribulation.
Escaping the
Trap through Spiritual Flight
Pr.
1:17 Surely, in
vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
It’s at this point that my own personal lessons regarding faith
and uncertainty come into play. I’ll explain in a moment. First, I want to tie
some other revelational concepts together.
Immediately after his statement about the end time worldwide
snare, Jesus offers a word of exhortative encouragement:
36 Watch
therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all
these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
The Lord tells us that through preparatory watchful prayer there
is a way to escape this coming snare / trap of worldwide security-based
tyranny. Now, He does not actually tell us how
it can be escaped. But other prophetically applied scripture does tell us how to escape. In this
mind, please consider Proverbs 1:17 above.
Solomon tells us that a bird can easily escape the trap of a net
laid in its sight. Why is the bird able to escape the trap? It’s because of the
difference between where the bird is and
where the trap is. The trap is laid on the ground, or perhaps on a grounded
tree. But the bird is in the air. An earthly trap cannot be sprung on an
airborne bird.
Now there is extreme prophetic significance to all this, and your
spirit should already have it. The trap
of Proverbs 1:17 answers to the snare
of Luke 21:34-35. It pictures the Great Tribulation sprung through the “peace
and safety” agenda. (If you’re really sharp, you will realize that government
actually refers to the social security system as a “safety net.”
Ha Ha.) The bird however pictures those of Luke 21:36—that is, those who have
found the grace to escape the disguised “safety net” through some type of flight. The question then
is, “What is this flight?” How can we
fly so as to escape this trap of tyranny being laid before our very eyes?
Please don’t jump to conclusions here. Some will immediately think
I will identify this flight as the rapture of the church. Now, to be clear, I
do believe that some believers will
be translated prior to that time and thus be able to “fly” in that way to
escape. But that is not what I am referring to nor is it what the Lord has
revealed to me about this. The truth is that, despite any initial manifestation
of the rapture, most believers will still
be here during the Tyranny.
Yet we must believe that a way to escape by flight is still
possible for those who give themselves to watchful prayer, even if they are not
translated. Don’t forget, the prophetic woman of Rev. 12 is given “wings to
fly” into the desert as a way of escape during the tribulation:
12:14 But
the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the
wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a
time, from the presence of the serpent.
See, the “woman” (who represents the church) is still on earth, yet can fly, and so is delivered from the tyrannical World Security
Regime. What kind of flight then is available to us for escaping the Trap while
still living on the earth?
Isa. 40:31 tells us that those who wait on the Lord will “mount up with wings like eagles.” All
these pictures of believers in flight as birds describe a flight of the spirit above the tribulations of the earth.
The Bible consistently draws a contrast between the earth and the heavens (sky)
as a prophetic contrast between the things
of natural man and a very present spiritual reality that surrounds man. The
sky therefore into which we are to fly is a spiritual
sky and the flight we are to take is a spiritual
flight.
It will be by means of spiritual
flight borne of watchful prayer (waiting on the Lord) that we are to be
given our means of escape when the Tyranny appears in earnest. It is because we
can spiritually fly that the earthly Net will be laid in vain for us!
“But can you be more specific? Just what is this
‘spiritual flight’ or ability to ‘spiritually fly’?” Simply, it is the
ability to so spiritually perceive the word and leading of the Holy Spirit, the
Breath of God under our wings, that we will be able to move in the Spirit with
such obliviousness to the surrounding pressures of the Tyranny and with such
sensitivity to the Spirit’s saving directives that we are delivered from
(“escape”) those “security-enforced” laws, injunctions, shortages, rationings,
pestilences, etc that will be the rule of that day.
During the Tyranny, the times will be desperate beyond
description! But for those with the
adequately developed “deadness” to this life in favor of sensitivity to the
Spirit and only to the Spirit, there will be a constant open “flight path” of
direction and provision.
Know this: there will be
ways to buy and sell outside the beast system. But only for those Spirit-aware enough to know how to recognize them
and unlock them. There will be
miracles of healing for those who can no longer access the beast’s hospital
system—but only for those who have the adequately developed Spirit-faith to
obtain and receive it! Believe me (no, believe HIM), the provision WILL be
there, the escape WILL be there, we WILL indeed fly—and the trap will have no effect on us! It will be spread in vain
in our sight.
Understand this well. The Spirit is the “Air of God” surrounding our lives here on the earth.
Therefore it is as we dwell in the Spirit of God, who is the Air of God, that
we are safe above and outside the Trap laid on earth among men. Woe to those
who do not know how to fly in that day!
There’s just one little thing left, though. We need wings! Without
wings, ie, developed wings, we can’t fly. Until we do, the Air is useless to
save us. How then do we get these wings??
Embrace of
Divine Uncertainty: The Key to Spiritual Flight
Some time ago I received a prophecy through a lady who I did not know. The Lord accurately identified through her that I was an engineer, and then proceeded to tell me that He was going to “engineer a change” concerning me and “push me out of my nest.” I took this to mean God was going to change my job, and that I was going to be out again somehow on my own, and of course that would mean uncertainty, and of course, I wouldn’t like that. Dutifully I accepted the prophecy, believing it to be true, even though not overjoyed about the prospect of another move, another possible period of no visible resources, etc., etc. (You know the feeling!)
Over the next two years, uncertainties did begin unfolding in my
job. The job location moved farther from home resulting in a pay cut. Then more
major uncertainties. Entire departments were let go. I was told I would be
next. But I never was. Yet my entire existence became a twilight of uncertainty—kind of like living on death row. This
increasing uncertainty grew and grew. It came to be that each time a new
uncertainty about anything
arose—anything that rocked my boat—I began to break under the pressure. I would
even lose my temper at times trying to “stay in the Lord.” (Sorry to confess
that to you!)
In all things I unflinchingly trusted the Lord enough not to try
to make my own way in things. I obeyed the Spirit in what to do, or in
following any leading. I did nothing to try to save myself out of a core fear.
Nevertheless, there was something still in me at issue. I still maintained that
internal wall against the fact of the uncertainties. I looked to the Lord in
all things I could see, but looked to Him for one thing too much…
I wanted the
Lord to hide me from the uncertainty factor. I didn’t want to face it. And I was
looking to Him to “make it go away”—to just somehow vaporize it out of my
awareness. But it never went away, only grew worse in my sub-psyche. The more I
trusted Him amid the circumstances while resisting the uncertainty of the
circumstances, the more subconscious stress I entertained. Finally, we took a
badly needed vacation. A week later, after several words from the Spirit, there
came a really critical word and revelation:
“Embrace the uncertainty.”
As the words came from deep within, so did the picture from the
now two-year-old prophecy—the picture of the eaglet being pushed out of the
nest. In a flash, I was made to know that the past prophecy about the eaglet
was not about the job per se, or any
of the circumstances. It was about my secret
attitude toward uncertainty itself! When an eaglet is pushed from a nest,
even though it cannot fly, it must embrace
the air with all the uncertainty
which air represents. An eaglet cannot fly and
simultaneously resist the
uncertain nature of the air in which he flies! To embrace the air, he must embrace its uncertain invisible
nature.
That was the Lord’s word to me—to no longer resist the
uncertainties in the sidelines of looking to Him for direction, but to embrace
them as part of embracing Him. Only by embracing the uncertainties can I truly learn to fly in the Spirit. To embrace
the air, I must embrace the uncertainty of its nature. I can’t embrace the air
but not its nature! And that is what I was inwardly trying to do—without
realizing it. Now I understood that the change the Lord wanted to “engineer”
was one in my own heart. At each conscious moment of uncertainty I am now
learning to say, “I welcome you,
uncertainty.”
Overcoming the
Conflicting Natures of Air and Land Security
It was out of my own personal struggle and revelation regarding
uncertainty that the Lord gave this greater macro revelation about the end, and
this word for the Body of Christ. In order for any of us to escape the imminent
earthbound Security-Tyranny regime through Air-flight into the Spirit, we have
to learn now how to follow the Lord by embracing uncertainty outside the nest,
trusting Him to catch us underneath and keep bringing us back up for another
trial flight—until we are so secure in our embrace of the Air’s uncertainty
that we can finally confidently testify, “I
know how to fly.”
The difficulty is that the natures of security on earth and
security in the air are diametrically
opposed. To learn security in the Air, one must shun the security of the earth. We cannot have two sources of
security and survive what’s coming. There’s no “half beast / half eagle” solution here. It will not work. We will
either be all eagle, or else succumb like ants to the trampling beast.
In practical terms, this means if we are to escape the final
Security-Tyranny trap before it is sprung on us—if we are to fly by the
Spirit’s security then, we must learn NOW how to give up the various human
security programs that have nurtured us all our lives—as well as the security
of our incomes, our possessions and our dwelling places to follow the Lord.
To the degree we are legally empowered and spiritually enabled, we
must seek the Lord about how to start giving up our ties to governmentally provisioned
“benefits” and “insurance” policies of every kind. (The more socialized your
country, the more difficult this will be.) We must begin to recognize and
reject the liability-free “entitlement” mentality into which our generations
have been born. Only by becoming divested of dependency on the welfare schemes
of the earthly “peace and safety machine” and embracing the uncertainty that
comes with doing so can we take Spirit-flight ahead of the Trap now being laid
in the name of “protected liberty.”
For added context, it is important here
to recognize the cultural season that is upon the West. The foundations of the
nations of North America and the Outback were laid by pioneers. Pioneers are risk takers without natural insurance and
fallbacks. The natural liberty established in these nations is due in part to
the high risk-taking nature of the pioneering founders—men who had little to no
natural securities on which to rely for sustenance and protection from
calamity.
In our season however, the pioneering
nature has been replaced by the liability-free “Security and Entitlement”
mentality. Most people today have never known anything but enjoyment of
blessings purchased by others, and have been deceived to believe they are
somehow “owed” the “right” to them. It’s because the pioneer spirit has been
replaced by the entitlement spirit that the shadow liberty of the West will
finally return to tyranny before the Lord’s Kingdom of True Liberty finally
manifests. No superficial token “revival” on the face of the culture is going
to change this.
What About the Promise of Establishment?
I have to admit to you that one of the great mental blocks keeping
me from embracing uncertainty underneath faith has been the fact that I’ve also
had many promises and prophecies of fruitful establishment in the earth—family
establishment…business establishment…dwelling establishment. Not having
obtained all of these, and continuing to actively believe for them, it was
psychologically contrary to me to also accept and embrace uncertainty. “How
can I accept uncertainty if God has promised to establish me? Establishment
speaks only of certainty, and God’s promises are certain!”
Before
answering this problem, let’s get mature about something. God’s will for our
earthly destiny involves both establishment and disestablishment. Too many of
us accept only one of these realities or the other. Most prophetic believers
embrace only the promises of establishment. And the scriptures are full of
them. Indeed, establishment is the legitimate God-breathed cry of every human
heart. Consequently, it’s hard to find prophecies in the dominant prophetic
circles that admit of any kind of disestablishment.
On
the other hand, a fewer number embrace only the predictions of
disestablishment. Their lives revolve about the Biblical “promises” of earthly
trial, scattering, uncertain roaming, and persecution that attend true
discipleship. Reacting to the majority error, this “John-the-Baptist”-styled
stream may deny the legitimacy of any promise or prophecy of prosperous
earthly establishment from the Lord, even though it is the God-breathed cry of
their own stifled hearts. “Unless you are
living hand-to-mouth out of a car somewhere between engagements preaching the
gospel on street corners and being chased off by police, I cannot consider you
to be a true disciple!” (sure…)
It’s
time for us to outgrow these partial visions of God’s heart and mature into
receiving both realities as part of the pattern designed for us. While
our truest establishment is not in this world, and we must pass through
“many tribulations” (disestablishments) here to obtain it, it is not true that
God wills no prosperous establishment of any kind in this world! To the
contrary, Jesus promises that those who suffer disestablishment for Him now
will find a return establishment “now—in this present time” as well as
in the world to come (Mk. 10:30; Lk. 18:30).
The
problem though is in how to reconcile these contrary realities into our vision
for our present destiny. We’re back to the question, “How can my faith
embrace both uncertainty—a mark of disestablishment—and the promise of God to
establish me here and now?” Because I hadn’t reconciled this internally, I
resisted the uncertainty beneath my faith for establishment.
But
the Lord also answered this through the prophecy about the eaglet. (In honesty,
it was my wife who actually saw it before I did.) The answer is that, eaglets
cannot build nests! Only mature eagles—birds that can already fly—can also build nests. By interpretation, only
those who first learn to “fly” by embracing the uncertainties of faith become
capable of entering into the “nested” establishment that the Lord has
eventually promised them. In fact, because this is so, to resist uncertainty
now is to actually hinder our
progress toward the establishment God has promised!
In
the end, the two realities are not contradictory to our faith. They are
necessary to one another.
Establishment
during the Great Tribulation (GT): Is it Possible?
The
issue of divine earthly establishment versus embracing uncertainty in light of
our larger topic of the Great Tribulation opens up an interesting side question
worth touching: “With the trap of the
Great Tribulation so near, how am I ever to embrace any promise of personal
establishment here and now?”
Because
of the horrific nature of the coming Security-Tyranny, it has been—for those
honest and brave enough to believe Christians will pass through it—it has been
pretty psychologically impossible to envision any kind of prosperous establishment
for believers at all during that period. Again, the concepts of “Great
Tribulation” and “Prosperous Establishment” appear absolutely antithetical.
When thinking of the tribulation, we can think of nothing but martyrdom and
on-the-run deprivation. (The Spirit has trained us well.)
Those
who sense the “GT” is very near, yet have received prophetic promises of
establishment, have been at a loss for how to hold these beliefs together.
Because of the impending darkness, some have felt pressed to abandon their
prophecies—maybe to even deny them as “false.” Others have denied the GT,
calling it an “illusion of the devil” and proclaiming a wishful “kingdom now”
theology—though deep inside, their gut knows they are “whistling Dixie.”
The
truth however is that, just as the uncertainties of our personal faith walk are
not antithetical to divine earthly establishment, neither will the GT prove
antithetical to it. The Great Tribulation—despite its theme of “world peace and
security”—will be the most uncertain,
insecure time the world has ever
known. The extreme embrace by saints
of extreme uncertainty in that hour will prove to work an extreme earthly
establishment dovetailing with manifest establishment of the Lord’s very
Kingdom on earth! This establishment amidst chaos will prove to fulfill the
prophecies of establishment received by many now. It’s just that this
establishment will be of an entirely different and advanced order than what is
presently known in society.
Right
now, as eaglets who have not learned to fly, when we think of establishment, we
can think only in terms of the nest we are in now. That is, we can think only
of what we have now in society here in the West. And since we know the Great
Tribulation will not allow to us the kind of established nest we have now in
society, we don’t see how there can be any nest for us at all.
But
the “Tribulation-Era Nest” God will build for and through us as matured eagles during the coming evil
will not look like the nest we currently know. What it will look like, I cannot
tell. But what I do know is that the promises of God for
establishment are not contrary to the predictions of God for Great Tribulation.
What I also know is that, the protected establishment God has for us amidst the
Great Tribulation will only be found as we first embrace the uncertainties of
present disestablishments now as eaglets.
As
long as we cling to the societal nest we are in now, and fail to learn to fly
by embracing faith’s uncertainties contrary to the present human security
systems, we will not have a nest in the wilderness in the evil day—we will not
have the wings to fly there as part of the Rev. 12 woman—and our present
societal nest will close in on us like the “Venus Fly Trap” Jesus prophesied.
And in that horrible case, we will either renounce our faith altogether, or be
martyred outside God’s perfect will, or die due to the deprivations.*
[*Note: martyrdom and death due to deprivation is not
the de facto perfect will of God for all
Tribulation saints. If it were, the Lord would not have encouraged us to pray
for escape from the Tribulation nor
provided the Rev. 12 woman wings to escape the serpent’s wrath!]
Exhortations
Regarding the Insurance Industry
This article cannot be complete without returning more deeply to
the issue of insurance. Insurance is something we’ve grown up with in our
generations. We were born into it (our parents enrolled us into the
governmental social insurance systems set up in the early 20th
century, or we were forced to enroll in them if we wanted a job.) Insurance was
legally mandated into the automobile system, so we have always had liability
car insurance. Now the insurance industry has also taken over the health care
profession—to the point of now being mandated in some countries and states.
Insurance is now available for just about anything, and the
industry has done an extremely good job of converting us to its “faith” in
God’s inability to provide for and
protect mankind, as well as to replace the role of the community of faith in
helping support one another in times of distress (something that the Amish and
some Mennonites still exemplify.)
What everyone should know however is that the principle of
insurance is condemned in the Old Testament, specifically in the Book of
Proverbs. Solomon repeatedly warns against
the concept of “surety” for strangers—which is the principle on which all
insurance is based. (See Pr. 6:1-5; 11:15; 17:18; 20:16; 22:28-27; 27:13. And
remember that, as a king, Solomon is speaking from a national governmental
perspective.)
In these Proverbs, Solomon speaks directly to the would-be
Insurer. But the warning is against an entire principle and so applies equally
to the would-be Insured as well as the Insurer! According to Solomon, the
principle of insurance breeds bankruptcy. Further examination shows it also
breeds contractual fraud and distrust.
To evade making good on insurance pledges, Insurers cheat their
policy holders through legal loopholes in policy language. And to avoid paying
premiums and/or to cash in on policies, insured parties make false claims
and/or commit insurance fraud through destroying insured assets. The costs of
the legal bureaucratic red tape associated with this mutual fraud force costs
to skyrocket for all, leading to the bankrupting of the “insured” industry or
economy infested by it.
This cycle of fraud and distrust and the fruit of community
destruction is inherent in the nature of the insurance principle. Once the
cycle begins, it is extremely difficult to stop. And if it comes to infest the
bloodstream of an entire nation or culture, like any lethal cancer it spells
the death of that culture, apart from a miracle of divine intervention.
Ultimately, insurance is the betting against God’s ability to
protect and provide for man in times of distress. It is inimical to faith.
(Ironically, I was once part of a church called “Faith” whose primary
leadership and financial backing came from men employed in and dedicated to the
insurance industry.)
By contrast, David expresses his pure trust in the Lord alone as
his surety:
Ps. 4:8 I will both lie down in peace, and
sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety—110:122 Be surety for Your
servant for good; Do not let the proud oppress me.
Please note again the connection between “peace,” “safety” and
“surety” in these verses. They mean the same thing, and apply to Paul’s word
about peace and safety. “Safety” and “surety” mean insurance. “Peace” means “peace
of mind”—as is promised by the insurance companies. David is telling us
that these security qualities can only be found in the Lord, not by third party
human Insurers. (Where do you think Solomon got his wisdom on this one?)
Proverbs 6:1-5 wraps up the prophetic connection between the
insurance industry and our end time escape from the Security-Tyranny:
1 My
son, if you become surety for your friend, If you have shaken hands in
pledge for a stranger, 2 You
are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of
your mouth. 3 So do
this, my son, and deliver yourself; For you have come into the hand of
your friend: Go and humble yourself; Plead with your friend. 4 Give no sleep to your
eyes, Nor slumber to your eyelids. 5 Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand
of the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
Notice that the snare or trap is referred to as “the words of your own mouth.” In other
words, by prophetic application, the end time Security-Tyranny is a snare of our own making. “We the people” are
setting the trap for ourselves because we
are the ones ignorantly signing all the contracts and taking out all the
policies that exchange liberty for security!
But
notice that there is a way of escape (“deliverance”). The possibility is there.
What is it? Solomon is prophetically telling the end time saints to go “plead
with your friend”—meaning, while you can—any way you legally can—get out of the insurance contract!
Notice he then says, “Give no sleep to
you your eyes.” This beautifully mirrors Paul who, after warning of the
coming tyrannical security destruction, says,
I Th. 5:4 But
you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a
thief. 5 You are
all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let
us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
So, just like Jesus and Paul, now Solomon too prophesies “Wake up!” to the end time saints. “Get out of your insurance dependency.”
And in so doing, “deliver yourself…like a
bird from the hand of the fowler.” Solomon is giving us the exact formula
for spiritual flight up and away from the end time Trap.
Closing
Exhortation and Encouragement
What does all this mean for us? And what is the lesson of this
article?
The lesson here is that we should all start examining how the Lord
wants to start divorcing us now from
our inherent trust in the human security and insurance programs we have indentured ourselves into—if we are to
have any hope of learning to fly in time to escape the Trap shortly to be
sprung on the earth. And to do this, we must learn to embrace the uncertainty
attending such contemplations.
As society’s security blanket continues descending on us all, I
earnestly exhort you to seek the Lord about your ties to the present security
systems. Let him awaken you to what is really happening to your country. Next,
determine like David to give yourself to His surety alone. (Here’s a great
place to become a Davidic worshipper in deed as well as in song.) In all this,
let him lead you in the specific details of the hows and whens of giving
up your governmental benefits programs and insurance policies. I have only
given you principles. The Spirit must
lead you in their timely specific applications.
Of course, as our central theme has already observed, the big
psychological hurdle involved in acting obediently on these things is dealing
with the power of uncertainty. But
that is why I have given you my testimony. If you have the conviction from the
Lord to act on a matter, but subconscious uncertainty is dogging your otherwise
steadfast but stressed faith, let me encourage you to embrace the uncertainty. See it as your friend, not your enemy.
Remember that uncertainty is the nature of the Air in which we aspire to fly. Picture yourself
embracing that “airy nothingness” of the Spirit as the eaglet falling from the
nest! Keep stepping out and keep embracing the uncertainty as you do, flapping
to capture it as you go—always remembering that “underneath are the everlasting
arms.”
If you start doing this now and keep doing it, you will learn to fly…you will mount up with wings like eagles to
that protected place in the desert, and—raptured or not—
…you will escape the end
time Trap laid in vain in your sight!
